OSU Romps Again in Civil War Showdown

OSU Romps Again in Civil War Showdown

Oregon State scored early and often while cruising to a 12-2 win over Oregon in the finale of the 3-game Civil War series in Eugene.

Michael Conforto singled home a run in the first, hit a grand slam in the second, and doubled-in a run in the 9th. The Beavers' outfielder drove in half of OSU's runs in a victory that left Oregon State two games ahead of both Oregon and UCLA with three conference games remaining for all three teams next weekend.

After the Beavers were shutout over the first 14 innings of the series at PK Park, their bats came alive. OSU scored 21 runs in the final 13 innings of the series.

By the way, Michael Conforto (who also homered in OSU's 9-0 win Saturday) will be a guest on Fox Sports Radio 620 on Monday during Wheels at Work (3-4pm) and again (replayed) on Beaver Nation Live (7-8pm).
