Desiree Young Drops Her Civil Suit

Choking back tears Kyron Horman's birth mother announced she is dropping her civil suit against the missing boy's stepmother.

Desiree Young, Kyron Horman's birth mother has worked tirelessly for 3 years to find the son who disappeared from a Portland school.

Talking to the missing boy Desiree said "Ky, it has been three years since you were taken from me and everyday you are not here safe in my arms is another day of agonizing torture."

But Desiree is dropping the civil suit she hoped would force Kyron's stepmother, Terri Horman, to talk. "I don't want anything to compromise the ongoing investigation for Kyron" she said.

Desiree says she reached the decision about a week ago. Her attorney, Elden Rosenthal, adds "we recently learned that Dee Dee Spicher did appear in front of the grand jury a week or two ago. We don't know what she said."

Spicher is a friend of Terri Horman who has also been reluctant to talk.
