The intense manhunt for Derral Mosby came to an end at his parent's home in Ridgefield, Washington Friday afternoon.
Mosby was wanted for several crimes and considered by police to be armed and dangerous.
It was more than a week ago that police shut down the Gee Creek rest area on I-5 north of Vancouver, because they received a tip he was there.
Police considered him a threat to relatives in the area.
Friday morning, they searched a farm where Mosby's father works. Then later in the day, Clark County SWAT surrounded the house where Mosby's parents live and he was inside.
After a three hour standoff, Mosby came out armed with a gun, shots were fired and Mosby was killed. No officers were injured.
His parents weren't in the house.
The Sheriff's Office has not released additional details about the case.
