Man killed in NE Portland riot

Saturday at 12:45 a.m., North Precinct and Gang Enforcement Team officers responded to the report of a large fight and riot outside the Fontaine Bleau nightclub, located at 237 Northeast Broadway.

Officers arrived to find a crowd of 75-100 people involved in a disturbance and one man shot. Additional officers responded along with medical personnel as people scattered the area on foot and in vehicles. Two more gunshot victims, a male and female, were also located.

One of the male gunshot victims died at the scene. The other male victim, along with the female victim, was transported to a Portland hospital for treatment with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Homicide and Gang Enforcement Team detectives are at the scene in the initial stages of an investigation.

Witnesses who fled the scene without talking to police are asked to call the non-emergency line at (503) 823-3333 or one of the detectives listed below.
