Saturday afternoon two men were involved in robbing the Milwaukie AT&T at 10983 SE Oak Street. One suspect entered the store and quickly grabbed one of the more expensive phones from a display.
Employees followed the suspect and attempted to confront him about the theft. The suspect brandished a knife and threatened the employees when they tried to prevent him from escaping. The employees and a passerby wrestled the suspect to the ground, but he was able to break away. The suspect ran to a waiting vehicle, driven by the second suspect, who had also been observed earlier casing the inside of the AT&T Store.
Both suspects left in a silver 2002 Volkswagen Jetta four-door sedan. The license plates on the vehicle were later discovered to have been stolen hours earlier in Portland.
Suspect number 1 wielded the knife. He is described as a white male adult in his late twenties, unshaven with short, red hair. He is about 6'4" and 230 pounds. He was wearing a black beanie-style stocking cap, a tan jacket, distressed blue jeans with random tears and holes, and black skater shoes with white soles.
Suspect number 2, the driver, was described as a white male adult in his mid-twenties, unshaven with dark, brown hair. He is about 6'1" tall and 160 pounds. He was wearing a Trailblazer logo baseball cap, a red shirt over a longer white t-shirt, black sweatpants with a white stripe, and black Nike tennis shoes.
The suspect who brandished the knife is wearing the beanie-style stocking cap. The driver of the get-away vehicle was wearing the Trailblazers baseball cap.
