Police used extreme caution serving warrants on a triplex near 109th and East Burnside around 3 a.m. Wednesday.
The Washington County Sheriff's Tactical Negotiations Team and the Portland Police Special Emergency Response team worked together to serve the warrants.
As they approached the house, two people were taken into custody.
SERT deployed flashbangs and loud hailed the remaining occupants inside and ordered them to come out of the units. After no one in the units complied with the order PPB SERT deployed tear gas into the units. Several suspects came out of the unit at this time, surrendered, and were detained. PPB SERT and Washington County TNT entered and searched the units and located one additional suspect hiding in an attic of one of the units. A total of 10 people have been detained and Special Investigations Unit investigators remain on scene processing the search warrant.
