Thieves use stun gun to steal booze

Monday night, four young adult women and one young adult male stole a variety of liquor off the shelf of the Safeway store at Mill Plain and Andresen in Vancouver. When confronted by store personnel, one of the women wielded and activated a hand held stun gun to ward off any attempt to stop them. All five fled the store to a car waiting in the parking lot. No employees were injured in this incident.

Video and still photographs of the incident have been collected. The suspect vehicle has been recovered and its owner interviewed and those leads are being pursued. Considering the information currently available, it is believed all five suspects are Portland area residents. Investigators are asking that anyone who recognizes any of the subjects in the photos contact the Vancouver Police with that information.

Video surveillance clearly shows that some members of the group had more extensive involvement in this robbery than others. If any of the involved subjects would like to come forward regarding their particular involvement, their cooperation would be appreciated.
